How has SCE helped support you through your career?
SCE has supported me throughout my career by giving me the latitude to innovate and explore ways to improve my work and serve our employees. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day work and meetings that we forget to carve out time to think, create, and play. A few years ago, a former boss encouraged me to reserve time on my schedule to do just that and treat it as sacred time. It’s a practice I’ve been following ever since and one that’s been vital to my work. I’ve also had incredible sponsors and mentors who have encouraged me to take on stretch opportunities and generously imparted their wisdom to guide me in my career decisions.
What do you like most about your team at Edison?
The team I work with cares about people—employees and customers alike. They are passionately committed to creating an inclusive workplace where people are valued, seen, heard and respected. They not only talk the talk, they walk the walk and continuously display the leadership courage that is essential to create a welcoming environment.
