BENEFITS FOR MILITARY EMPLOYEES
TIME-OFF FOR MILITARY SERVICE
Employees called to military training or active duty are provided up to 30 consecutive calendar days of leave during which status is protected. More than 30 consecutive days places the employee on military leave of absence.
PAY FOR MILITARY TRAINING & ACTIVE DUTY
Full and part time employees receive the difference between base pay and military pay for up to two weeks (on training) and up to 24 months (for full-time employees on AD orders).
VALOR: EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUP
Promotes awareness and understanding of the roles and contributions made by active and non-active military employees and their families. Assists in the liaison efforts between SCE and the military communities we serve.
PREVENTATIVE HEALTH ACCOUNT
Up to $400 yearly reimbursement for eligible Edison employees and their family members for participation in approved activities designed to improve and maintain your health.
EDISON SERVICE DISCOUNT
The Domestic Employee Rate provides a 25% discount on electric service for full-time SCE employees who live in our service territory and have been employed for at least six months at the company.
OTHER BENEFITS
Differential pay until the end of the active-duty assignment, or for a period not to exceed 24 months, whichever occurs first; Differential pay for up to two weeks for training; Company-paid life insurance premiums, just as for any other employee leave of absence.
VALOR: OUR MILITARY EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUP
VALOR brings together our community of veterans, service members, their families, and military supporters at SCE. The group provides mentorship, professional development and support to assist veterans who have served to transition to the civilian workforce. VALOR also ensures that we provide a welcoming environment for all veterans.
As a part of our commitment to the community, members of Valor provide outreach in support of non-profit organizations benefiting military veterans and their families. In addition to time and physical service, Valor provides financial contribution, through charitable giving, furthering our support to these organizations missions and values.
